The Best Advice You Could Ever Get About Delta-8

There’s a lot of buzz about Delta-8 THC on the cannabis market, but many people still don’t know much about it. The new cannabinoid is a legal alternative to Delta-9 THC, as it’s a milder version with fewer side effects.

But how do we choose the right vendor? How to buy Delta-8 products that are safe? What dosage should you take?

We tackle these and other important questions below, so read on.

Check Your State and Local Laws Before Buying Delta-8

Contents

This is the most important step to take because you don’t want to get in trouble with the law.

Delta-8 THC products are legal on a federal level, given that they come from hemp-derived CBD and contain less than 0.3% Delta-9 THC. That makes them almost like any other CBD-based product with trace amounts of THC, except Delta-8 goods are mildly psychoactive.

However, Delta-8 and other Tetrahydrocannabinol still remain on the DEA’s list of Schedule 1 controlled substances. It’s quite the problem, which is why some states have more restrictive Delta-8 laws.

So, check your state laws and any other regulations in your area before buying D8 products.

Buy from Reputable Vendors

The country’s legal authorities oversee the manufacturing and sales of Delta-8 products to ensure they comply with the laws and regulations. However, some unlicensed vendors still fall through the cracks.

Do your due diligence and find licensed and reputable vendors that offer top-quality products. You’re not buying household items, after all. You need to make sure you get safe products that wouldn’t potentially harm your health.

Look for Third-Party Lab Test Results

Some unreliable vendors claim that they test their Delta-8 products for purity, quality, and potency, but their lab test results are nowhere to be seen. Steer clear of such suppliers, as their products may not meet the required standards.

The law requires Delta-8 vendors to test their goods by an independent lab to prove they meet the standards. More often than not, they publish the results on their website to show they’re credible and trustworthy. So, anyone who displays them publicly is likely someone you can trust.

Check Customer Reviews to Choose the Best Shop

When you see what other people are saying about a particular brand, you’ll know if purchasing Delta-8 THC from it would be a good idea.

Customer reviews will tell you more about someone’s product quality, customer service, shipping and return policies, and more. You’ll also gain an insight into the effects and potential side effects you can expect.

But be wary of fake reviews. Whether they’re on a vendor’s website or any reviews site, make sure they have a “Verified purchase” tag. Social media and online forums like Reddit and Quora are also good sources of authentic information.

Stay Away from Water-Clear and Dark-Colored Distillates

If you’re looking for a quality Delta-8 distillate, pay close attention to its color and clarity.

Cannabinoids are naturally rose-colored. Some manufacturers use acid-activated bleaching agents to make their distillates water-clear, but that messes with their pH levels. They become acidic and unstable.

Others who don’t perform the distillation process according to industry standards end up with dark-colored distillates.

So, choose a clear, rose-colored distillate to avoid any synthetic byproducts that could be potentially harmful.

Start with a Small Dose

Everyone has a different tolerance to THC, so don’t look to others to determine how much Delta-8 you should take. While someone may experience euphoria with a certain dose, you may feel anxious or groggy.

Your body weight is also a factor to consider. A person with a lower body weight may not tolerate a higher dose very well.

If you’re new to THC, start with a small dose of Delta-8 and work your way up slowly if you feel you need more to experience the desired effects.

What’s a small dose? About 5 mg. Start with that and go slowly up to 15 mg if necessary. Anything more than that may work better for users with medium to high THC tolerance.

Don’t Use Delta-8 When Driving or Operating Heavy Machinery!

Delta-8 THC is a psychoactive cannabinoid, which means it can alter your perception, behavior, consciousness, mood, or cognition. It’s not nearly as potent as the notorious Delta-9, but it’s still intoxicating.

That’s why it’s crucial to avoid driving or operating heavy machinery when you use any Delta-8 product. When driving under the influence, the best-case scenario could be a DUI charge, but the worst-case scenario could be causing an accident.

The same goes for operating heavy machinery. You could end up with an impaired judgment that leads to a serious accident. So, use Delta-8 responsibly and stay safe.

Conclusion

Delta-8 is relatively new, and there’s still much room for scientific research to determine all its effects and potential side effects. So, follow all the tips above to ensure a good and safe Delta-8 experience.
