Also, blue light is also infamous for messing up your circadian rhythm and triggering wakefulness in your body. If your eyes have been coping up with blue light all day, you will feel trouble putting yourself to sleep at night.

1. Take screen breaks
What could be a better way to reduce screen harm than reducing your screen time? Less digital exposure means less blue light and eye problems.
You don’t have to take big breaks to avoid eye strain. Small breaks of 2 minutes for every 20 minutes of screen time are enough. However, it doesn’t mean that you start using your smartphone while you are on break.
You can either close your eyes or put your head down to give some rest to your eyes. Or you can look at faraway objects to change the focus and make your eyes feel more relaxed.
2. Wear blue light glasses
Wearing blue light glasses while using digital gadgets is the most effective way to dodge problems like eye strain and blurry vision.

Having proper sleep will also optimise the quality of your tears which will protect you from dry eye problems (one of the most common screen time problems). If you don’t want your screen to lead to dry itchy eyes, make sure your prescription or reading glasses have a blue light coating.
5. Eye exercises
While you are spending hours getting your body in shape, you could take out 15 minutes of your day for your eyes.
Try focus shifting exercise which will make your ocular muscles flexible. Too much computer can make you myopic over time. Practising eye exercises is a good way to ensure that you don’t develop refractive errors due to the inflexibility of your eyes.
