5 Signs: What Makes a Good CBD Oil

It is no more a surprise that CBD mania has overtaken the nation. Once a controversial product is now a legal compound after the legalization of the Farm Bill in 2018. Its therapeutic properties to heal various health conditions have made it people’s favorite.

So, no wonder it is now easily available everywhere, from online stores and next-door pharmacies to a baker’s shop. On top of that, people have the liberty to use it however they want as it is available in various forms, including tropicals, edibles, drinks, vapes, and oils. But have you ever thought about what makes a good CBD oil?

Unfortunately, most people don’t know much about CBD despite being its avid user. Mostly think that all CBD products are the same. Result? They end up becoming victims of fraud and fake CBD sellers. The fact is not all CBD products are the same, and you should buy them carefully to save your money from going down the drain.

Here are a few things you should consider to buy the best CBD oil:

1. Source of CBD Oil

Contents

From which plant is CBD oil extracted? The answer to this question is a crucial factor in determining the quality of CBD oil. Hemp is a hyperaccumulator plant, meaning hemp’s root system is active and absorbs everything from the soil. It could be anything, from useful vitamins, minerals, fungus, bacteria, and metals to toxic chemicals. So, the extracted CBD oil can also be toxic if a hemp plant is grown in non-certified soil.

That’s why checking the source of wholesale CBD oil is very important. Use the CBD oil extracted from a hemp plant grown in a field regularly tested by the government. Moreover, the plant should be organically produced without using any pesticides or fungicides.

2. CO₂ Extraction Method

Many extraction methods are used for CBD extraction. However, just like all CBD products are not equal. Similarly, all CBD extraction methods are also not comparable. Avoid extraction methods involving the use of harmful solvents, like hexane, butane, and propane, as they can toxicate the extracted oil if some residue is left behind.

The best method is the supercritical CO₂ extraction method, which doesn’t leave behind any containment or residue, making CBD oil safe to use.

3. Certificate of Analysis

Before buying CBD oil, check if the seller has a certificate of analysis (COA) from a third-party lab that shows if the product is safe to use and the amount of CBD and THC in the product. Most companies have third-party tested reports on their websites. So, you can check their websites.

However, if they don’t have COA on their website, you can ask the seller to show you. If they provide you COA, it is well and good, but if they don’t, then take it as a red flag and run. It must be a scam!

4. Full-Spectrum Oil

Besides having different extraction methods, the extracted oils are also different. Some CBD oils only contain CBD with no other cannabinoids. It is called CBD-isolate and has less impact due to no reaction catalysts. However, full-spectrum CBD oils contain the whole CBD plant components, including cannabinoids, terpenes, and other essential compounds that work together to make CBD oil more effective. So, always buy full-spectrum CBD oil to make the most of your money.

5. Less than 0.3% THC

CBD doesn’t cause you high because it works differently than THC, the high-causing compound in cannabis. However, when you extract CBD from a hemp plant, there are chances that THC also comes along. But make sure that the CBD oil contains less than 0.3% THC.

Otherwise, you can get high, just like what happens after marijuana consumption. Moreover, such CBD products are also illegal. So, be careful while choosing what you consume to stay safe.

Conclusion

The all-natural CBD benefits are becoming so amazing that it is not hard to believe its rising popularity. But some vendors are trying to exploit this popularity by selling fake products. That’s why you should carefully choose your products by analyzing different scenarios. The best thing is to buy from trusted sellers with good online reviews. It is okay to ride on others’ experiments when your safety and money are at stake.
