The Secret to Finding the Perfect CBD Dose

Psychotherapists Using Cannabis Components to Heal Sexually Assaulted Women Through Therapies

Over the last 10 years, researchers have provided mounting evidence on the potential benefits of CBD. Short for cannabidiol, the studies show through the endocannabinoid system, there could be a lot of value in starting a CBD regimen.

The only problem lies in how much CBD users should take to get optimal benefit. Do you know how much CBD is actually in that tincture or capsule? More importantly: Do you know how to figure out the right amount of CBD for your lifestyle?

Finding the perfect CBD dose isn’t about chemistry, but rather understanding why you are taking it, how you are taking it, and how your body works. Here’s what you need to know about finding the perfect CBD dose.

Why Are You Taking CBD?

Research suggests there are plenty of benefits from using CBD. Organic, full spectrum CBD oil can help you get potential relief from many different ailments. Studies suggest that CBD can help with:

  • Reducing seizures in those with epilepsy
  • Reducing feelings of anxiety
  • Lower joint and muscle inflammation
  • Improve gastrointestinal health
  • Improve quality of sleep

We aren’t the only ones who can benefit from CBD. Studies from the Colorado State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Biological Sciences show that CBD can also help dogs who are dealing with seizures as well. It is just one of many studies the teaching hospital is running to determine all the benefits.

As you work to find the right amount of CBD oil to take, start by determining why you are taking it. If you are using it to reduce anxiety, try taking it in the morning, or when your anxiety is worse.

If you want to use it to improve sleep, then consider taking it at night. Your reasons why to take CBD can dictate not only how much you take, but when you take it.

The Formula for the Perfect CBD Dose

Once you have defined why you are taking CBD and when you should be taking it, it’s time to start figuring out how much to take.

Your ideal amount of CBD will depend on several different factors, including your weight and your wellbeing goals, and how you feel comfortable taking CBD.

There is much different quality of the products that can deliver all the benefits of CBD, including tinctures, gummies, and capsules.

As you start a CBD regimen, it’s important to talk to your doctor about your plans and goals. Working with your medical practitioner can help you determine how much you should use to start, and identify any conflicts with medication you are taking.

If you get the clearance from your doctor but don’t get a specific amount to begin with, start by your weight. As a general rule, you should start with one to three milligrams per 10 pounds of weight.

For example: those who weigh around 150 pounds should start between 20 and 30 mgs, while those who weigh 250 pounds should start using between 30 and 40 mgs.

From there, new users should start taking notes on how they are feeling after starting the CBD regimen. If you are feeling no effect, then consider gradually increasing the amount of CBD over a week.

If you are contending with unwanted side effects, scale back the amount of CBD you are taking.
Be sure to track the amount of CBD you are taking on a regular basis, and document how you are feeling.

By journaling your experience, you can make sure you find the right amount that fits your lifestyle.

How to Make Sure You Are Getting the Right Amount

Getting the right amount of CBD varies, based on what kind of product you take. Capsules, gummies and other edibles provide a fixed amount of CBD, which can be difficult to divide.
When starting out a CBD regimen, it’s easier to use tinctures to find the right dosage. CBD tinctures can be adjusted based on the amount in the dropper, and can allow for easier changes. In addition, CBD tinctures offer the most versatility, as they can be used both internally and topically.
If you prefer to use a consumable, start with a CBD gummy, or something that can be trimmed to find the right amount of CBD.

Can I Overdose on CBD?

Although CBD comes from industrial hemp plants, studies suggest that it’s nearly impossible to overdose on CBD. A 2017 peer-reviewed study in the journal Cannabis and Cannabinoid Research suggests humans tolerate high doses of CBD very well.

However, regular, high doses of CBD (1500 mgs or more) may cause liver damage.

Can I Get High Off Full spectrum CBD?

Although organic, full spectrum CBD oil does contain trace amounts of THC – the psychoactive ingredient found in hemp plants – it’s not enough to give anyone the “high” feeling. As an industry standard, full spectrum CBD oil cannot contain more than 0.3 percent THC by dry weight.

As a result, high-qualify and organic CBD oil won’t give you the funny feelings associated with hemp usage, and won’t cause you to fail a drug test.

Although it takes a little work to get started with a CBD regimen, the potential relief can be well worth it. Through experimentation and buying CBD oil for sale, you will be on your way to living a better quality of life.
